Slim snacks

It is not easy to stick to a diet. You have to resist tasty cakes that are offered to you on a birthday, crispy croissants in the supermarket and you should also avoid the shelf with that delicious chocolate with nuts for the time being. Still, there’s no need to swap cookies for carrots and apples. There are plenty of slim snacks that fit perfectly within a responsible diet.

Why snacks?

If you want to lose weight, the obvious thing to do is to cut out snacks and reduce meal portions. However, snacks are not necessarily bad. They bridge the long period between two meals and keep blood sugar levels stable. They provide your body with energy that you still have to function.

Sweet snacks

  1. Fresh fruit
  2. A rusk, rice waffle, sandwich or crispbread with jam, apple syrup, fruit sprinkles or fresh seasonal fruit
  3. A muesli bar, possibly with less sugar.
  4. A bowl of low-fat fruit yoghurt (without added sugars)
  5. An egg cake
  6. A muesli – or currant bun. This contains many healthy nutrients and fiber. The disadvantage is that the number of kcal varies from 150 to 200, which corresponds to three cookies.
  7. A whole wheat biscuit
  8. A whole wheat sandwich with sweet toppings
  9. A slice of gingerbread, preferably “less sugar”. This variant also contains more fiber.
  10. A “snack biscuit”, such as Sultana or Evergreen. If you want to lose weight, make do with one cookie instead of the whole package.
  11. An ice cream cone, like an orange split and a rocket.

Savory snacks

  1. A handful of Japanese mix
  2. Salty sticks. These provide few calories and little fat and are a good alternative to chips.
  3. A handful of (unsalted) nuts. High in calories, but also rich in unsaturated fats and proteins.
  4. A toast with smoked salmon
  5. A cup of cup-a-soup
  6. Crispbread, a sandwich, a slice of rye bread, a rice waffle or a cracotte, topped with 30+ cheese, chicken or turkey fillet, smoked meat or ham.
  7. Also try a cracotte, topped with cottage cheese, cucumber slices, tomato slices and aromat.
  8. Egg with smoked meat or ham
  9. A rice waffle with lean meats
  10. A sandwich with lean meats, 20+ cheese spread or 30+ cheese
