It’s strange that we are so concerned with movement and we only “take our hands and feet along” with the rest of the movements we make with running, swimming, aerobics or any other sport. Yet we use our hands and feet the most on a daily basis.
More attention to the hands and feet
To begin with, let’s pay more attention to the hands and feet. On the one hand in care and on the other hand in keeping the muscles optimal, which also benefits the beauty of these limbs. Preferably do this kind of thing in the evenings, so that your hands and feet can rest afterwards.
The feet must last an average of about 75 years for a body and are therefore highly undervalued. Foot massage is not only a benefit for the limbs, but also soothing for the entire body. If you work with pressure point therapy, you should consult a professional, but you can do a regular foot massage yourself or, preferably, someone around you. You can also stimulate your muscles yourself through certain movements.
If the nails are done immediately, your foot will be completely ready again.
You don’t need much:
- oil (e.g. lavender)
- goat leg
- cuticle oil
- nail scissors
- foot cream
A washed foot in not too much foam, because that will only dry out, is rubbed clean with a soft towel and that is where the massage actually begins. Carefully dry the foot (also between the toes), and then immediately take the ankle with it. , rub dry and always let the paths of movement go towards the heart. This also applies to the massage itself.
Before you start with the real massage, first take a look at the nails. Do these need to be cut or is filing (preferably with a glass file and always filing from the outside in) sufficient? Make sure that the edge of the nail is nice and smooth after filing (a very small white edge may be visible). Apply some cuticle oil to the edges of the skin and, if desired, push up the cuticles when the skin is soft. Never cut the skin along the nail. This way the nail can look great again.
The massage can then begin and use a soothing oil, for example lavender. A soft scent that is not too overpowering won’t hurt either.
Work the massage from the toes to the ankle and ensure that the movements always run towards the leg. Include the ankle in the massage and place some gentle pressure on the muscle groups in the feet.
Also let the person in question move their muscles themselves by rotating their feet alternately from the ankle as far in as possible and then out again. Pull the toes as far away from the foot as possible and back towards you as much as possible. You can still let the feet rotate in circles at the ankles. Do these exercises for a few minutes at a time.
Finish with a final light massage with a foot cream over the forefoot towards the ankle, under the ball of your foot and then let the feet rest.
You are busy with your hands all day long and they usually get enough exercise. But that movement can also be too one-sided, just think of the position of the hands and fingers behind the computer.
The hands can have some extras every now and then and the hands are also your calling card, so they are not unimportant to at least look neat.
What kind of things do you need?
- hand mask
- goat leg
- cuticle oil
It is best to grab the nails after the hands have been washed and the nails and skin around them are a bit softer. Do not cut the fingernails, but file them from the outside in with a glass file. Whether they are short or long or any shape, always file in the same way.
The cuticles also become softer on the hands when some special oil passes through them. For example, the cuticles can be pushed up with a cuticle pusher. Then wash your hands again and then start with the hand movements.
You move the hands and fingers by having them make rotating movements at the wrists at the same time. Bring the palms towards you and move all fingers independently in different directions. Repeat these exercises every 2 minutes and do this for 6 minutes. Then place the palms and fingers together and press and release. After a few minutes, just put your fingers together and press and let go after a minute or so.
Make all kinds of different movements with the hands and fingers in a certain rhythm for about 10 minutes and don’t forget the wrists.
Conclude with a massage of the hands, always massaging in the direction of the heart. On the top of your hand you can massage between the bones to which your fingers are attached and do this with some fresh oil for massage. Massage the hand for about 10 minutes and then wash the hands. Then apply a hand mask and massage your hand again. This mask can be left on your hands all night and is absorbed well into the skin. The next morning the hands are reborn.
Performing this ritual every week is certainly a good thing, but if you do not have or do not take the time, at least make sure that the nails receive the care they deserve every week. Furthermore, a hand mask is quickly applied and takes no more time than a normal lick of hand cream over the hands.
Note! By the way, bunions, corns, etc. are better removed by a professional.
